Paul got involved in the Gulf War as a civilian to support military operations. However, after that, he has been suffering from kidney dysfunction. He used to go to a local hospital 3 days a week to get dialysed. As the hospital moved further away from his home, he decided to do it by himself at home after getting trained by medical staff. He has been doing this 4 days a week. Each session takes four hours. He has come to have a hearing problem with his right ear as he had infection because his immune system doesn't work well.
